The safety of drinking water is very important, which is related to people's life and health and social harmony and stability. Ensuring the ecological safety of water sources is an essential precondition for drinking water safety. Water quality protection of drinking water sources involves many aspects, and needs technical support from many subjects, such as water source ecological security, water resources allocation and water resources sustainable utilization, hydrology-ecology-environment, water information theory and technology. In order to strengthen the protection of water ecological security, ensure the ecological security of water sources, construct Digital Twin Network of drainage basin water, and set up an ecological database and intelligent management and control platform, the 4th International Forum on Watershed Ecological Security and the Water Source Areas will be held at Nanyang Normal College from August 8th to 11th, 2023. This meeting is jointly organized by Basin Ecology Committee of the Ecological Society of China, Water Resources Commission of China Society of Natural Resources and Ecological Hydraulic Engineering Committee of Chinese Hydraulic Engineering Society and Nanyang Normal University. This meeting is also associate organized by Talent Introduction Base of Water Security Technology in the Water Source Area of the Middle Route of South-to North Water Diversion on Innovation of University Discipline, Collaborative Innovation Center of Water Security in Water Source Area of Middle Route of South-to-North Water Diversion Project in Henan Province, Center for Water Science Research in Zhengzhou University, North China University of Water Resources and Electric Power and Henan University of Engineering.
The theme of the conference is"Water Ecological Security, River Basin Ecological Health and Digital Twin Water Network". The conference focuses on ecological security of water sources, hydrology ecology environment, and digital twin water networks in river basins. The conference invited domestic and international famous scholars in the field of water sources ecological security to make conferences representation.
