(By Wang Guangqi)On March 12th morning, amidst the rejuvenation of spring where thousands of trees bloom and lush greenery flourishes everywhere, university leaders including Zhang Baofeng, Luo Yongsong, Meng Jingya, Liu Shouyong, Zhou Qi, Zhu Qichun, Liu Honglin, and Xiong Xinzhong, led a group consisting of over 200 representatives from administrative units, international student volunteers, and Chinese student volunteers to the north side of the Zhang Heng Teaching Building to participate in a tree-planting activity.
At the tree-planting site, foreign faculty members and international student volunteers worked together vigorously, wielding shovels to dig soil, straightening the seedlings, filling pits, and watering them diligently, creating a bustling scene of collective labor. Organized into teams, they collaborated efficiently, demonstrating seamless teamwork as they meticulously executed every step of the planting process, successfully transplanting more than 30 Chinese Parasol trees into their "new homes," thus practically contributing to the creation of a green campus.
The university leaders expressed their wishes that through such tree-planting activities, everyone would foster a closer relationship with nature and embrace a green development philosophy. They encouraged the students not to squander their youthful years but to shoulder the missions, striving to become internationally-minded talents adept at integrating Eastern and Western perspectives.
