（By Wang Guangqi）With the coming of the annual Mid-Autumn Festival, in order to vigorously carry forward the excellent traditional Chinese culture, guide our international teachers and students to understand and feel the profound cultural connotations of the Mid-Autumn Festival, and promote the communication among people from different countries in the world, on the morning of September 23rd, the Office of International Exchange and Cooperation (College of International Education) carried out the study activities of welcoming the Mid-Autumn Festival and experiencing the Chinese culture in the Village of Returning to Zero. The representatives of the school's international students, foreign teachers, and the staffs of the Office of International Exchange and Cooperation attended the activities.

The study activity started with international teachers and students wearing Chinese costumes. After learning the evolution and development process of Chinese characters, international teachers and students began to experience writing oracle bone script, the oldest script in China, with brushes, quickly immersing themselves in the atmosphere of traditional Chinese culture. After the study teacher explained the history and legend of the Mid-Autumn Mooncake, the international teachers and students began to learn and experience making, baking and tasting the Mid-Autumn Mooncake, and expressed their love for the mooncake. In the subsequent experience of old-fashioned weaving, they were so immersed in weaving the warp and weft threads . The final session of plant dyeing pushed the study activity to the climax, and the international teachers and students dyed their own satisfactory patterns, and also dyed out the joy of the Harvest Festival.

During the study activity, international teachers and students expressed their gratitude to the school for organizing the study activity on Chinese excellent traditional culture and their blessings for the coming of the Double Festival. This study activity created a strong Chinese culture and festival atmosphere for international teachers and students, enhanced the interconnection of Chinese and foreign cultures, and allowed everyone to relax after the compact study and work, and brought with fuller enthusiasm for working hard and promoting the construction of internationalized characteristic universities. Everyone realized we should try our best to achieve the goal of building a stronger school.
