Organized by the Provincial Department of Education and co-organized by Nanyang Normal College and Henan Institute of Industrial Vocational and Technology, the training session was attended by nearly 300 school leaders in charge of foreign affairs work and heads of foreign affairs departments from 155 colleges and universities in the province. Jia Peng, deputy director of the International Department of the Ministry of Education, Hu Zhiping, deputy director of the Language Cooperation Center of the Ministry of Education, Yang Guang, director of the Program Department of the Scholarship Council of China, Diao Yuhua, deputy director of the Provincial Department of Education and first-level inspector, Lu Zhiwen, secretary of the Party Committee of Nanyang Normal College, Zhang Baofeng, president of the school, and Wang Wei, dean of the Henan Institute of Industrial Vocational and Technology, were present at the opening ceremony of the training session. Xu Hengzhen, second grade inspector of the provincial education department, presided over the opening ceremony. Liu Honglin, vice president of Nanyang Normal College, presided over the special report.

At the opening ceremony, Diao Yuhua pointed out that this training is rich in content, covering the main business of foreign affairs of higher education, I hope that through training, seminars and exchanges, to further improve the position, serious thinking and planning "Education contributes to a strong nation. What should we do?" "Education promotes a strong province, what should foreign affairs do?", we are asked to unify the mind, clear goals, combined with practice, integration, application of the training content to the practice of the work, and do a good job ofaccomplishing the mission of "bring in" and "go out" opening up to the outside world of education better.

Lu Zhiwen, on behalf of the university, expressed warm welcome to the leaders, guests and participants, thanked the Department of Education for its trust and strong support to the university, and introduced the overall situation of high-quality and high-level school running, Chinese-foreign cooperative school running, study abroad, international Chinese education, Chinese-foreign humanities exchanges and cooperation and other achievements of the university, especially its success in being selected as a national platform for the "Innovation and Intelligence Program for Disciplines in Higher Education", which is a major breakthrough for the school. He pointed out that the university will steadfastly follow through with the implementation of the "Intellectual Development Program for Higher Education Disciplines", which is a national platform. He pointed out that the university will unswervingly implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important exposition and instructions on education, further promote the opening-up of education in the new era, and improve the strength of the university's independent cultivation of international talents.

At the beginning of the training session, Jia Peng gave a lecture on "In-depth Study and Implementation of Xi Jinping's Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics in the New Era and Solidly Promoting the Opening-up of High-level Higher Education to the World". He did the speech centered on General Secretary Xi Jinping's important exposition of opening-up of education to the world and the general situation of opening-up of China's education to the world, the new situation and new requirements that China is facing at present, as well as the role of opening-up of education in the construction of a strong educational country.

Hu Zhiping made a special report on the topic of "Promoting the High-Quality and Sustainable Development of International Chinese Language Education in the New Era".

A total of 8 lectures were held in this training session, and experts from the State Scholarship Council, Zhejiang Institute of Science and Technology, Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Northwestern Polytechnical University, Foreign Affairs Office of the Provincial Party Committee, Propaganda Department of the Provincial Party Committee and other units and colleges and universities outside the province made special reports on two-way study abroad, school running in foreign countries, cultivation of internationalized talents, foreign contacts and international communications, respectively. Participants also conducted group discussions and group reports on the theme of "What is the role of foreign affairs in Education promoting a strong province".

This business training session on higher education foreign affairs in Henan Province is organized to implement the Opinions of the Ministry of Education and Eight Other Departments on Further Accelerating and Expanding the Opening Up of Education to the World in the New Era, and to implement the requirements of the Provincial Party Committee to implement the "Ten Major Strategies" and to realize the "Two Ensuring" new development.
