(By Wang Guangqi) On the morning of July 7, opening ceremony of the 2023 Global Youth Conference is held at the Shandong Hall. More than 1,000 guests and youth representatives from 85 countries and regions gather in the land of Shandong Province to keep this appointment of youth conference. Two international students from our university, Hao Shuai from Pakistan and Li Qiang from Côte d’Ivoire, are invited to attend the conference.
Hao Shuai, who will be graduating from our university with a bachelor's degree this year and has already passed the interview for a graduate student majoring in international trade, is preparing to embark on a new learning journey. Li Qiang is a sophomore majoring in Business Administration at our university. He has successfully passed Level 5 of HSK Chinese Proficiency Test in May, and on June 9 he serves as an interpreter during a delegation visit led by Mr. Bernard Gollondo Balamoto, Chargé d’Affaires ad interim of the Embassy of the Central African Republic in China. During the afternoon session on July 7, Li Qiang is interviewed by reporters from China News Agency.
It is reported that the conference is held in Shandong from July 6 to 9, with the main venue in Jinan and sub venues in Dezhou, Dongying, Jining and Tai'an. It is co-sponsored by the People's Government of Shandong Province, the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, the All-China Youth Federation and the China Soong Ching-ling Foundation. The theme of the 2023 conference is "New Era, New Civilization, New Youth, New Mission", which mainly includes the opening ceremony, main forum, satellite forums, youth themed exhibitions, gatherings of international youth as well as visits and exchanges.
