(By Wang Guangqi) On the morning of June 18, when the Dragon Boat Festival is coming, in order to vigorously promote China's excellent traditional culture, guide international students to understand and feel the cultural connotation of the traditional Chinese festival and the humanistic charm of Nanyang, and strengthen the communication between Chinese and foreign youth, Nanyang Normal University, Nanyang Federation of Industry and Commerce, and Zhongjing Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine Industry, organize the event of "Long Distance Separates No Bosom Friends-Chinese and International Friends from 18 Countries Get Together for the Dragon Boat Festival". The event is hosted by Henan Zaixin Biotechnology Co., Ltd. and is held in the company located at Huangtaigang Town, Wancheng District, Nanyang. Nearly 30 international teachers and students from 18 countries including the United States, Japan, and Pakistan participate in this event.

At the event site, international teachers and students feel a strong festive atmosphere. After the entrance ceremony of moxibustion, herbal wash, five color thread binding and sachet hanging, international teachers and students actively experience the folk culture of wrapping Zongzi, Chinese calligraphy, wrapping flower bouquets, experiencing moxibustion, wearing hanfu (traditional clothing of Han Chinese), making sachets, painting forehead, shooting five poisons, and carefully savoring the rich cultural connotation of traditional Chinese festivals.

In the modern flow workshop of Zaixin Biotechnology Co., Ltd., international teachers and students feel Chinese path to modernization and the development determination of Chinese enterprises to "go global".

International student representative Hasang gives a speech and expresses his great interest in participating in traditional Chinese programs and cultural activities. In the future, he will continue to work hard to learn and make his own contributions to cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries.

The final game of "beating the drum and passing the sachet" pushes the event to a climax.

This event is said to be a part of the social practice and cultural experience series of "Walking Around Henan" for international teachers and students at our university. It is an important way to create the brand of "Study in Nanyang Normal University", aiming to strengthen international teachers and students' further understanding of the brilliant Chinese civilization and modern China after the reform and opening up, and help them tell China’s story better with richer words.
