On May 30th, graduation (degree awarding) ceremony for graduates of 2023 is held in the university. Secretary of the CPC Nanyang Normal University Committee Lu Zhiwen delivers a speech, and then President Zhang Baofeng presents degree certificates to representatives of outstanding master's students, international students and undergraduate graduates of 2023. Deputy Secretary of the CPC Nanyang Normal University Committee Xie Bingsong presides over the graduation ceremony. University leaders Meng Jingya, Yu Jiwu, Zhou Qi, and Xiong Xinzhong, as well as members of the university degree evaluation committee, leaders of various colleges and departments, and representatives of teachers and students attend the ceremony.

Vice President Meng Jingya reads out the Decision of Nanyang Normal University on Commending Outstanding Graduates of 2023. Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission and Commissioner of Supervision Yu Jiwu reads out the Decision of the Degree Evaluation Committee of Nanyang Normal University on Granting Master's Degrees to Zhang Huifang and other 56 Graduate Students. Vice President Xiong Xinzhong reads out the Decision of the Degree Evaluation Committee of Nanyang Normal University on Granting Bachelor's Degrees to Mushikiwabo Lailla (Lei La) and other Three International Undergraduate Students of 2023 (Summer). Vice President Zhou Qi announces the Decision of the Degree Evaluation Committee of Nanyang Normal University on Granting Bachelor's Degrees to Liu Boya and other 8,179 Undergraduate Students of 2023.

Master's graduate representative Chu Shuaibei, international graduate representative Hao Shuai, and undergraduate graduate representative Wang Yifan deliver speeches respectively, reminiscing their university lives and expressing sincere gratitude to their alma mater and teachers, as well as sincere blessings to their classmates. Teacher representative, Dean of School of Educational Sciences Li Hui delivers a speech, expressing his blessings to the graduates and encouraging them to strengthen their confidence and move forward bravely.

Finally, Lu Zhiwen delivers a speech. He expresses warm congratulations to all graduates, and high respect and heartfelt gratitude to the hard working and selfless dedication of the faculty, staff and parents. Lu Zhiwen points out: in the past four years, guided by Xi Jinping thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era, we bear in mind the instructions of our great leader, express gratitude, exert pressure, and make progress. We jointly witness the centenary of the Communist Party of China, welcome the successful convening of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, achieve significant victories in epidemic prevention and control, and achieve historic achievements in the development of the university. More than 30 national and provincial-level first-class and featured majors have been approved, with 4 new academic master's programs and 7 professional master's programs added. We have won more than 400 awards in national discipline competitions, continuously enhancing the connotation of education and improving the professional system.

Lu Zhiwen raises four hopes for graduates. Firstly, we must uphold our beliefs, love the Party and the country, firmly defend the "two establishments", constantly polish the youthful background of loving the Party, patriotism, and socialism, work hard, and move forward bravely. Secondly, we must have the courage to take on responsibilities and be determined to serve the country, live up to the heavy trust of the times, remain fearless of difficulties and obstacles, bear a patriotic heart in mind and a steadfast determination to serve the country, and strive to become a vanguard force in achieving the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. Thirdly, one must be willing to endure hardships and content oneself with enduring them. One must be able to endure the hardships of learning, and one who keeps learning for a lifetime will enjoy lifelong benefits; one must be able to endure the hardships of life, abandon arrogance and pettiness, and hone one's willpower and character; one must be able to endure the hardships of growth, endure the storms, and achieve self-improvement. Fourth, we must strive tirelessly and strive for self-improvement.
