On April 27th, Wang Ziwen, deputy director and first level inspector of Foreign Affairs Office of CPC Henan Provincial Committee, and Fan Hong, second level researcher of Foreign Affairs Office of CPC Henan Provincial Committee, accompanied by Li Pu, deputy secretary-general of the CPC Nanyang Municipal Committee, and Li Chunpeng, secretary-general of the Nanyang Municipal People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, visit our university for inspection. Lu Zhiwen, secretary of CPC Nanyang Normal University Committee; president Zhang Baofeng; Xie Bingsong, deputy secretary of CPC Nanyang Normal University Committee, and vice president Liu Honglin attend the research symposium. Heads of the Department of International Exchange and Cooperation, Employment Guidance Service Center, School of History, School of Journalism and Communication, School of Physics and Electronic Engineering, School of Water Resources and Environmental Engineering and other departments also attend the meeting. The symposium is chaired by vice president Liu Honglin.

Lu Zhiwen, on behalf of the university, first welcomes Wang Ziwen and his delegation and expresses sincere gratitude to Foreign Affairs Office of CPC Henan Provincial Committee for their care and support in our university's work in educational foreign affairs over the years. He introduces the basic situation of our university and the development goals and plans of the university during the 14th Five Year Plan. Lu Zhiwen points out that since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, General Secretary Xi Jinping has made a series of important statements and instructions, pointing out the direction for doing a good job in the opening up of education in the new era. Our university has always adhered to the opening up of education to the outside world and has made certain achievements. This visit of inspection and research will play a good guiding role in our current and future work of educational foreign affairs, especially in the construction of the university with international characteristics. In the future, our university will further improve its foreign affairs work capabilities, refine the guidance of the inspection team, and accelerate the implementation. We hope that the inspection team can provide sufficient guidance on the exploration, development, and utilization of foreign affairs resources, and help our university achieve high-quality and inclusive development.

Zhang Baofeng focuses on introducing our university's achievements in cultural exchanges, international talent cultivation, high-end talent introduction, and scientific research cooperation from two aspects: "bringing in" and "going out". He also introduces the university's development ideas around "construction of international characteristics" and the subject innovation and talent introduction base (111 base) of higher education. He hopes to increase the training of international talents, improve the quality of training, and serve the construction of "Nanyang Provincial Vice Central City" and "University with International Characteristics" with the strong support of Foreign Affairs Office of CPC Henan Provincial Committee, making due contributions to cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries.

Wang Ziwen fully affirms the achievements made by our university. He analyzes the current international situation in depth, introduces the situation, opportunities, and policies in the work of educational foreign affairs in the new era, and emphasizes the importance of the Party's comprehensive leadership in the work of foreign affairs. He states that Foreign Affairs Office of the CPC Henan Provincial Committee will provide support for our university's international exchanges and cooperation in areas such as foreign policy guidance, information sharing, channel resources of foreign affairs, and platform provision of foreign affairs. He hopes that Nanyang Normal University can seize the opportunity, summarize the experience of international cooperation and exchange, sort out the shortcomings in international cooperation, strengthen the management awareness in foreign affairs, improve the work mechanism of international exchanges, serve the features of university running, advantageous disciplines and various research platforms, encourage discipline leaders and experts and scholars in related fields to "go global", promote the development of internationalization of the university, enhance its international influence, and make contributions to the work in educational foreign affairs of Henan Province.
