University president Zhang Baofeng and vice president Liu Honglin, together with heads of relevant departments, 8 international teachers, 18 international student representatives, and all staff from the Department of International Exchange and Cooperation attend the symposium. The symposium is hosted by Cao Luman, director of the Department of International Exchange and Cooperation.

In his opening speech, Mr. Liu Honglin first expresses his warm welcome for international teachers and students to work and study in Nanyang Normal University, shows gratitude to them for their positive contributions to the development of the university, and gives an introduction on the development of the university in recent years. He says that the number and quality of international teachers and students this year have been greatly improved, and the university’s level of internationalization has entered into a new stage. The purpose for the university to hold the 2022 international teachers and students symposium is to hope that everyone can give advice and suggestions for the development of the university, and put forward constructive suggestions on teaching, administration and services.

International teachers and students speak in turn. They fully appreciate the teaching, administrative and service level of the university and come to a consensus that both work and study in Nanyang Normal University is very enjoyable and pleasant. In the meantime, some reasonable suggestions are put forward on teaching management, teaching facilities, and environment and conditions for teaching and living.

The university is grateful to international teachers and students for their positive contributions to the internationalization of the university. In 2022, the university is selected by the Department of Education of Henan Province to be constructed as one of the "universities with international characteristics in Henan Province", and they deserve all the credit.
