(By Yang Tian) Nanyang Normal University and German GFM International Education Group jointly sign an agreement on international education exchange projects recently. In the next five years, the two sides plan to carry out international cooperation in academic exchanges, internship and practice, dual system training, short-term study tours and other fields of potential cooperation. This is a beneficial attempt for the university to deepen the integration of industry and education and cooperation between university and enterprises, learn from Germany’s dual system university running mode, further promote the reform and innovation of education methods, and strengthen the opening-up, cooperation and exchange.
The domestic business of the agreement is operated by Beijing Zhongjing International Energy Technology Co., Ltd. and Beijing Zhongshi Wending International Cultural Media Co., Ltd., the Chinese partners of German GFM International Education Group. Among them, the dual system training project aims to cultivate high-quality talented employees. First, language training is carried out, followed by intensive learning, internship and practice. The "craftsman spirit" is integrated into the whole process of education and learning, which directly tailor-makes high-level technical management talents for German enterprises and realizes the high-quality employment of the young people.
In recent years, affected by the global COVID-19, with a shift of the production and operation focus of some German enterprises, talent demand of German enterprises in China has increased significantly. Based on the needs of enterprises, the dual system project integrates internationalization with localization, and features the alternation of work and study, so as to create an educational pattern of joint talent cultivation between industry and enterprise, help young people become high-quality talents and obtain high-quality employment, and further promote the development of local economy.
German GFM International Education Group was founded in 1984 and is headquartered in Berlin, Germany. It has 32 campuses under SKY higher vocational college, providing German dual system vocational education for students from Germany and about 30 countries around the world. GFM maintains long-term cooperative relations with Industrie-und Handelskammer (IHK), Handwerkskammer (HWK) and more than 3,000 German enterprises to provide personalized vocational education programs around the world.
