Leaders from the Enrollment Office and other relevant personnel from the Students Office, the Logistics Management and Service Center and the Department of International Exchange and Cooperation (School of International Education) are in company and visit as well.
In the No.11 apartment of West District, Liu Honglin sees and visits 16 international students staying on campus. Mr. Liu asks in detail about their use of the smart dormitory system, vacation plans, learning conditions, whether it is convenient to have meals during summer vacation, and whether meals have enough varieties. Mr. Liu also learns about the length of time the international students have come to China, their majors, graduation time, and career planning. He urges them that while complying with the university’s epidemic prevention policy and doing well in personal protection during the summer vacation, they should strive to learn Chinese culture and professional knowledge, and become the messenger of cultural exchanges between China and their home countries.
During the visit, Liu Honglin instructs relevant departments to effectively ensure the health and safety of stay-on-campus students during summer vacation, guarantee their necessities of life, ensure food safety, strengthen safety education for the stay-on-campus students, with a focus on the safety use of electricity, fraud prevention and personal safety, adhere to the normalization of epidemic prevention and control, strengthen prevention and identify hidden dangers, and do an all-around good job in various services and guarantees for stay-on-campus students during summer vacation.
