Nanyang Normal University (correspondents: Zheng Ping, Wang Guangqi) In order to enrich the winter vacation of foreign teachers and students during the Spring Festival and let them experience the traditional customs and charm of the Chinese Spring Festival, on the evening of February 9, the School of International Education organized more than 20 foreign teachers and students to Nanyang Magistrate Office to enjoy the “My Hometown Has A Great Palace, Spend the Spring Festival in Magistrate Office” lighting show and traditional culture and customs exhibition. In Nanyang Magistrate Office, foreign teachers and students were all enchanted by the beautiful scenery. They took out their mobile phones to take photos and sent them to their relatives and friends abroad to share the lively atmosphere of the Chinese Spring Festival with them. Throughout the evening, foreign teachers and students were immersed in the wonderful experience of passing through the palace and the mansion. With tickets in the form of "ancient Chinese pass", they traveled through the ancient bazaar looking for the 19 stamping points, enjoyed the production experience of Deng porcelain, rubbing and other intangible cultural heritage, watched the colorful lighting show and live performance of traditional Chinese instruments such as guzheng, and felt the everlasting charm of Chinese culture. The enthusiastic event hosts also introduced the history of the Nanyang Magistrate Office and folk customs of the Chinese Spring Festival to foreign teachers and students, and interacted with them. International students even stepped onto the stage to sing, dance and take photos with tourists. Foreign teachers and students said that they were very grateful to the school for organizing them to participate in the Spring Festival activities, which not only gave them a sense of belonging, but also allow them to experience the rich historical and cultural heritage of Nanyang and the traditional cultural customs of the Chinese Spring Festival. Although they can't go home because of the pandemic, they still felt very happy to celebrate the Spring Festival in Nanyang. In order to ensure a safe and peaceful Spring Festival of the Tiger new year for foreign teachers and students, Cao Luman, Director of the School of International Education, led relevant comrades to visit foreign teachers and students at the school's foreign teachers' apartments and foreign students' apartments just before the Spring Festival, bringing holiday gifts such as milk, eggs, rice, fruits, dumplings, sweet dumplings and Spring Festival couplets, as well as epidemic prevention and health packages containing masks, alcohol and disinfectants, and handing out red envelopes to every international student.
