Prof.Dr. Erik Dahlquist is a full professor at Mälardalen University, Västerås. Director of research MERO (Mälardalen Energy, Environmental and Resource Optimization with 27 researchers and 45 Ph.D students in the research subjects Energy and Environmental Engineering and Mathematics/Applied Mathematics). He got his Ph.Dat KTH in 1991.He has extensive interest in scientific research andmainly focus on processefficiencyimprovements; processdevelopment; energy and load management and energy efficient buildings; environmental management; safetyscience lab andapplied mathematics. He was a member of Scientific committee for EUROSIMin2007 and a member of editorial board for Journal of Applied Energy, Elsevier since 2007. Area editor for Elsevier Journal Simulation Modelling Practise and Theory since 2008. Member of Swedish Royal Academy of Engineering, department II (Electrical engineering and Automation) since 2011. Program chair EUROSIM 2016. Chairman of SIMS, Scandinavian Modelling and simulation society. He won approximately 20 patents and published approximately 270scientific publications in refereed Journals or conference proceedings with referee procedure.
