Dr. Naicheng Wu is a PrivatDozent at the Department of Hydrology & Water Resources Management, Institute for the Conservation of Natural Resources, Kiel University, Germany. He got his Ph.D in eco-hydrology from Kiel University in 2012. In addition, he was awarded Humboldt Fellowship for Experienced Researcher (2019), Marie-Curie Fellowship (2016). His major research interests cover a range of topics within aquatic ecosystems. These include community ecology, bio-monitoring and bio-assessment, the impacts of multiple stressors on aquatic ecosystems and integrated river basin management. The present research interest is using integrated eco-hydrological models (hydrological and biological models) to study human mediated impacts (e.g. global changes) on aquatic ecosystems, which eventually lead to decision-making and sustainable aquatic ecosystems management. He is an editor or boarding member for 6 journals and as a peer reviewer for > 44 journals (e.g. Journal of Applied Ecology, Scientific Reports, Ecological Indicators, Environmental Science & Technology) and 6 international foundations (e.g. Natural Environment Research Council, Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada). He published more than 50 refereed journal articles, 2 book chapters.
