Dr. Shixiong Hu is a full professor at the Department of Geography, East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania, U.S.A. He obtained his PhD in Watershed Hydrology fromState University of New York at Buffalo in 2004. His major research interests include watershed hydrology, GIS-based watershed modeling, soil erosion control and hillslope processes. The present research interest is modifying Arc SWAT model to study the watershed hydrological processes and pollution in China. He was elected and served as Chair of Water Resources Specialty Group, America Association of Geography in 2014-2016 and the president of CPGIS (International Association of Chinese Professionals in GIS) in 2017-2018. He published more than 50 refereed journal articles, 5 books and proceedings as authors or editor.
