丹江口水库是南水北调中线工程水源地，是国家水网重要节点工程，战略地位突出，水生态环境及水质保护责任重大。为深入贯彻习近平总书记生态文明建设思想和关于国家水网、南水北调的批示指示精神，落实水利部推进丹江口库区及其上游流域水质安全保障工作有关会议要求，提升水生态环境保护水平，促进水生态环境领域的合作与交流，为进一步保障丹江口库区持续深化水质保护，确保“一泓清水永续北上”，携手打造青山常在、绿水长流、空气常新的幸福河湖、美丽中国。
由中国地理学会湖泊与湿地研究分会、中国生态学会流域生态专业委员会、中国水利学会生态水利工程学专委会、南阳师范学院主办的“南水北调中线水源区生物多样性及水生态保护研讨会”，将于2024年9月20-23日在南阳师范学院举行。

Symposium on biodiversity and Water Ecology Conservation in the water source area of the Middle route of the South-to-North Water Diversion Project

Danjiangkou Reservoir is the water source of the middle route of the South-to-North Water Diversion Project and an important node project of the national water network, with a prominent strategic position and a great responsibility for water ecological environment and water quality protection.
