On November 2, a two-person delegation from the National Research University Higher School of Economics (HSE University) in Russia, led by Ms. Ekaterina, Director of the International Office, visited our university. The two sides held fruitful discussions on expanding and deepening cooperation in multiple fields. Representatives from NYNU’s School of Economics and Management, School of Mathematics and Statistics, and the International Office attended the meeting and participated in the consultations.

Both sides engaged in in-depth discussions on key areas for future collaboration. They exchanged views and reached broad consensus specifically on faculty and student exchanges, joint scientific research, joint cultivation of high-level talents, and the sharing and co-development of high-quality curriculum resources. The parties agreed that the two universities possess significant collaborative potential in mathematics, statistics, economics, management, and related interdisciplinary fields. They emphasized to utilize their respective advantageous resources to ensure the prompt implementation of substantive cooperative projects.

Both sides agreed to maintain close communication to finalize cooperation details and sign relevant agreements promptly, aiming to benefit students and faculty of both institutions at an early date.

Reportedly, Russia’s National Research University Higher School of Economics is a renowned comprehensive research university in Russia, ranking 440 in the QS World University Rankings 2026. It boasts several faculty members who are Nobel laureates in Economics and Fields Medalists. In the QS World University Rankings by Subject, multiple disciplines including Engineering, Mathematics, and Economics rank among the global top 100.
