Lecturer: Du Wenfeng (Henan University)
Date: March 24, 2025 (Monday)
Time: 16:00-17:30
Venue: Room 3207, Training Building
Report Content: The design and manufacturing technologies for traditional engineering structures are undergoing a transformative revolution, with an accelerating trend toward intelligent and digital development. Intelligent structural design and manufacturing has become a focal point of global technological competition, serving as a key driver for innovation in mechanical aerospace, transportation infrastructure, and civil engineering, while also emerging as a core technology for frontier fields including deep-sea exploration, space technology, and military applications. This lecture presents a novel generative intelligent design methodology integrating with artificial intelligence deep learning, topological optimization, reverse engineering, and 3D printing technology. The approach enables automated generation of structurally innovative and mechanically optimized designs with integrated 3D printing manufacturing capabilities. Demonstrating superior efficiency in producing lighter and higher-performance structural solutions, this methodology advances both theoretical and technological developments in intelligent structural design and lightweight engineering.
